Writer Bio
I am currently a freshman at Moi University, College of Health Sciences pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree. In my free time I write articles for my blog on scientific exploits and try to magnify hypotheses, am also involved in a podcast project. When I’m not dreaming up hypotheses, you can find me binge watching online chess streams. I’m really thrilled by the scientific pursuit for rigour and at best I try to reciprocate the same in my life.
Research Interests
Genetics
The recent successes in genomics (CRISPR) have rejuvenated the utility of genomic medicine. Precision medicine is the next frontier in healthcare, and I don’t wish to miss the ride. I want to be part the voyage so that when it becomes standard therapy.
Immunology
I’m amazed with the body’s intrinsic immunological responses to disease. The Corona virus pandemic as well as other scourges before it such as AIDS further bolstered my interests in this field since it opens a wide berth to the mechanics behind vaccine development and assimilation by the body.
Physics
The subtle way in which the physical world communicates to us via cryptic mathematical puzzles was just enough to lure me into the appreciation of this dynamic interaction of man and nature. I’m passionate about learning the interaction of fields especially classical fields such as electromagnetism and gravitation.
